LEDP turns to be a life changing…
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD),Telangana, launched the Livelihood & Enterprise Development Programme in district Nalgonda. The programme aims at creation of sustainable livelihoods amongst Self Help Group members. The programme was inaugurated by Dayamruta, the DDM of NABARD.
Speaking on the occasion, Dayamruta, said that NABARD has been promoting the Self Help Group – Bank Linkage programme throughout the Telangana state from last more than one decade.
She stated that poverty alleviation through livelihood creation is one of the stated goals of this microfinance movement. NABARD has sanctioned this LEDP to Swami Viveka nanda Rural development Society, where in 90 members from matured Self Help Groups will be trained to prepare School uniforms.
These Dresses will be procured by Local schools in Madugulapalli.
The LEDP has been prepared on project based approach encompassing the complete value chain and offering end to end solutions to the SHG members. The scheme has provision for refresher training, backward-forward linkages and handholding and escort supports. Dayamruta urged upon the participants to take full advantage of the programme and earn their livelihood.
Ray of hope…
Renuka of Indugula village and her family members had no other way but had to depend on daily labour. However, it was just enough to fill their stomach and there was no ray of hope of development. Then they heard about NABARD – LEDP programme at Madugulapalli. (Nalgonda District)
